After the first visit or a repeat visit you are given prescriptions for the necessary medications and requisitions in the outpatient clinic. We try to prescribe enough until the next visit.
Prescriptions and requisitions are for the symptomatic treatment of the neurological disease. We cannot give prescriptions in our clinic for medications prescribed by your family doctor for medical or other indications. Consumer items for nursing care should preferably be taken over by the family doctor as frequent prescriptions are needed at shorter intervals. Issuing prescriptions and requisitions between clinic appointments is possible only in exceptional cases for reasons of time and capacity. To avoid the need for requisitions and prescriptions between the appointments we advise that you plan your medication and other medical needs before the consultation. It is useful to discuss this with your service provider (physiotherapist, speech therapist or occupational therapist) as the requirements vary between different practices and insurance companies. We try to provide the prescriptions and requisitions for the entire period until the next visit. This is intended to reduce unnecessary administrative work between the appointments. If prescriptions are required in the interval between outpatient clinic appointments, the can always be provided by the family doctor or neurologist.

Nevertheless, if a prescription or requisition is needed outside an appointment in our outpatient clinic, please notify us by post. We have decided to use the post for dealing with prescription matters in order to ensure continuous doctor patient discussions during the clinics without interruptions by telephone requests for prescriptions. Upon receipt, tour written prescription requests will then be dealt with and posted to you outside the regular consultation. Please enclose a stamped return envelope with your address on it to make it easier to send out. Please note in this case too that the electronic insurance card and a referral slip must have been submitted in the current quarter if your prescription request is to be handled. If you have not visited us in the current quarter, it is necessary for you to send us the chip card and a referral. Please send your prescription request to our postal address:
